Location
In-person sessions are held in a private and confidential counselling space in the heart of Hitchin at the Eastway Enterprise Centre, 7 Paynes Park, Hitchin SG5 1EH. It is well connected to bus routes and local parking.
Cancelation Policy
Sometimes circumstances arise that mean you cannot make your scheduled session. If possible, it is appreciated if a session is cancelled with 48 hours notice. If you need to rearrange, please contact me as soon as possible to find a mutually agreeable time.
Video Counselling
Video counselling offers many of the benefits of face-to-face counselling with the added convenience of online therapy, conducted via a secure online platform. It is important that you have a private and confidential space where you will not be interrupted. You should be able to talk freely without fear of being overheard.
Parking and Transport
There is parking available nearby at the Lairage Car Park, Arcade Car Park and Jackson' Yard Car Park. The Eastway Enterprise Centre is well linked to local bus routes.
Can I bring someone with me?
You may want someone to come with you to the counselling offices for the first time and then ask them to meet you afterwards. There is no waiting area, but lots of coffee shops or the library near by. It is better not to have another person in the room, as this may stop you talking openly and honestly.
Fees
Sessions are charged at £50 per session. Sessions are paid weekly by bank transfer. If you wish to pay another way, please get in touch to discuss. I offer a reduced rate for students over 18. Session prices can be offered on a sliding scale for those who may be struggling financially.

Confidentiality
All sessions whether in-person, online or by telephone are conducted and held in the strictest of confidence as defined by the BACP Code of Ethical Practice, with some rare exceptions. For example, if not speaking to someone else could cause significant harm to you or another person.
Telephone Counselling
Telephone counselling offers convenient and flexible counselling and be useful if you have a changeable schedule. Some clients prefer the added anonymity that telephone counselling offers. It is important that you have a private and confidential space where you will not be interrupted. You should be able to talk freely without fear of being overheard.
Accessibility
The counselling room is on the second floor which is accessible via lift or steps. There is a single step down to the counselling room, a ramp can be arranged if needed. There is a toilet available for use on the first floor and an accessible toilet on the ground floor. Please get in touch to discuss any accessibility needs.
